– A Breakthrough in Building Happiness

Since 2008 InHappiness worked with

groups of the most stressed,

depressed and unhappy people in

the world — those who provide care

for adults and children dying from

HIV and cancer.

We applied positive psychology

tools and therapeutic Aerobic

Laughter to help them heal and

overcome the emotional stress of

this work, and carefully measured

the results.

In 2009 we added new modules to our laughter-assisted program and saw a sudden improvement in results: participants took charge of their happiness and became able to change their lives in ways that dramatically reduced their unhappiness and built lasting happiness. They had developed a new awareness and ability to fundamentally change their lives — we called it Happiness Intelligence.

The Secret to Lasting Happiness

People with Happiness Intelligence continuously and automatically adjust

their behavior to build happiness and reduce unhappiness.

They become aware of their happiness in real

time, and change their behavioral responses to

protect it.

Their stress levels drop and remain low — they are

able to counter and recover quickly from

depression, worry, burnout, adversity, trauma and

grief — their energy levels increase dramatically —

they get much more done — they are more fun to

be around — they find meaning in life and laugh

more often— they build happiness in themselves

and in people around them.
